These 2 days Zagora desert tour departing from your accommodation in Marrakech is the opportunity to discover the Atlas Mountains through Tzizi N Tichka pass and visit Ait Ben haddou Kasbah. Pass by Deraa Valley and the road of 1001 Kasbah before reaching the camp at Zagora and ride camel at sunset. Enjoy a Saharian Dinner and spend night in a private nomadic tent. 

Get up early to see the beautiful sunrise on the desert plateaus of Zagora and wander in the cradle of Saadian dynasty before continuing to the village of Agdez. Enjoy lunch in a Kasbah then head the road by the Anti-Atlas “Black Mountain” towards Ouarzazate. Visit the Berber Hollywood cinema studio and discover the fascinating history of the Kasbah of Taourirt. Join your vehicles to return to Marrakech late in the afternoon.

  • DAY 1: MARRAKECH – KASBAH AIT BEN HADOU – ZAGORA (7 HOURS DRIVE)

2 days desert tour to Zagora departs at 07h00 AM to Zagora through Tizi Ntichka pass ( 2260 m. alt ) driving past different adobe Berber villages, and locals herding their goats.
Upon arrival to Kasbah Ait Ben Hadou, you will have some free time to explore the UNESCO world heritage village, and its famous Kasbah, that has been used as a set for various Biblical epics as well as a backdrop for commercial and modeling photo shoots.

we will have lunch. Early in the afternoon, we will cross the Northeastern parts of the Anti Atlas Mountains to Ouarzazate the oasis of Agdz. After a quick stop in the village center, get ready to admire one amazing scenery after another driving along Draa Valley with its fortified Kasbahs and oasis dotted with hudreds of thousands of dates palm trees. Draa Valley hosts the largest palm tree plantation in Morocco.

Upon arrival at Zagora desert late in the afternoon, we meet our camel caravans, and our camel trekking adventure will begin through the sand dunes while assisting to an amazing sunset for about an hour.

Just before it gets dark, we drive our camels to our Berber desert camp nestled between the middle of nowhere. Dinner will be served tonight under the stars while the local Berbers entertain us with their drums. Feel free to learn about the stars constellation or just enjoy the silence of the desert under the crystal clear skies.

  • DAY 2: ZAGORA – OUARZAZATE – MARRAKECH

Early in the morning, your camp hosts will wake you up early to watch the sunrise if you wish.
After breakfast, ride your camels again to meet your vehicle and driver on the road.
From here, we depart to Ouarzazate, where we will stop for lunch at a local café, and visit Taourirt Kasbah.
Early in the afternoon, we drive back to Marrakech crossing the High Atlas Mountains.
Your  2 days desert tour from Marrakech to Zagora will end in Jamaa Elfna Square at about 18h00
